Most people love to have candles in their home for the ambiance they bring, but sometimes some candles should not be burned. There are many folks out there who have candle and candle holder collections, and they will never burn any of them because they are too precious! I like to collect rare and special candles. In fact my favorite candle in my candle collection is one that was given to me and features a desert picture with many wonderful blazing colors through out it! A candle like this is a work of art and is just too nice to destroy by burning it. Of course, I also light many candles in my home because I also enjoy their sight and scent. And whichever holder I use, whether it be brass or crystal, always adds a nice design feature to my mantel or table. On special occasions and through out certain times of the year, I find that hurricane candle holders help me display items better. A hurricane candle holder has so many purposes! One of the things I like about it is that I can move my lit candle through out my home without having to worry about the flame going out.

There are also many other uses for a hurricane candle holder which makes them a must have for any candle lover. Hurricane candle holders are so user friendly, whether you are decorating for the holidays or you just need a good candle holder for an outside event. But regardless of what your use for a hurricane candle holder is, they really do something for your home decor.

For example: a hurricane candle holder is an excellent choice if you want to light a candle in a room that is a little drafty. I particularly like to burn my candles at night, in the middle of summer when the rain is coming down with the windows open because it is romantic. If I did not have my hurricane candle holder, this might present a challenge for many different reasons, namely the candle being blown out. And because of my hurricane candle holder, I can enjoy three of my favorite things! Now, you might wonder what the original purpose of the hurricane candle holder was. What is the purpose for it’s bell shaped design? Why was it made that way? One of the reasons is that the hurricane’s bell shaped glass helps reflect more light than a normal glass candle holder.

Another great example of why you would use a hurricane candle holder is for just plain safety. I am a candle lover. But, I would never leave a candle unattended because I would be afraid that my house might catch fire and be destroyed. When I use my hurricane candle holder for the specific purpose of burning a candle, I feel better about the burn. I know that the glass holder is protecting my home from the flame jumping anywhere and causing any issues. Now, that is not to say that I would leave a lit candle in my hurricane candle holder for hours at a time, but I know I can leave it for short bursts of time. Please be advised that you should never leave a lit candle by itself.

Hurricane candle holders are also great when you want to be able to reflect the flame of your candle better. Your hurricane candle holder will take the flame from your candle and make any room much brighter than before. And candle light is so nice to read, dine or play by. Your hurricane candle holder will be able to shine enough light for a larger size room with ease. And honestly, that is quite a bit of light from one tiny little flame. A hurricane candle holder will allow your candle to maximize it’s light producing properties for all to enjoy.

Hurricane candle holders are also a great way in which you can ensure that your candle flame produces a good light source. Candles are not always the best source of light because their area of illumination is normally small. But if you use a hurricane candle holder, then that area of illumination grows. The light the flame produces will be able to touch all corners of a room with soft, inviting light. Everyone always looks better in candle light too! And the last thing that is wonderful about hurricane candle holders is that they can be used without the candles to make awesome centerpieces during the holidays! Let your imagination run wild with your hurricane candle holder because the possibilities are endless!

One of the most primitive methods for generating and holding light are candle holders. It was considered a practical light source method for its time, and it later came to be more of a beautification tool since the candle holders were crafted with more decorative tones and resources. The candle holders made for the wealthy were crafted in precious metals with unique designs, and precious gems adorned them. Candle holders came to be more than just a source for light over time, for they gained status as ornamental sentiments with their special candle holder motifs; they quickly became the focal point of the household.

Candle holder motifs have adjusted over time, and today, they are far more compatible with today’s contemporary households. However, both candle holders and candles alike still serve as major assets to color schemes and interior design of the home. Today, candle holders can be found in a vast assortment of motifs, arrangements and in a range of elements such as oxidized silver, specially made glass, carved wood, marble, wrought iron and brass; some of these candle holders can even be fixed to a wall. Figurines that have built-in candle holders garnish hotels, palaces and households. Antique candle holders reveal the ways that wealthy and royal families lived their lives, as these artifacts have been conserved for many centuries. Long before the invention of the first electric light bulb, candles were placed in chandeliers to light up banquet halls and magnificent ballrooms for the most elite members of society. Additionally, dining room tables were decorated and lit with special candle stands that enhanced the overall presence of a hearty feast for the wealthy.

In the beginning, candles were used to distribute light throughout a room, and the subsequent introduction of candle holders made this into an attractive heirloom. Nowadays, with electrically powered bulbs being our primary light source, candles and candle holders have become more of a decorative choice that enhances a room’s atmosphere. Candle holders have a vast array of offerings in design, including hanging, hand-painted, wall mounted, carved, floating and hanging candle holders. Candle holders, if strategically placed, can provide rooms with a soft, dreamy quality.

Festivals and religious observances use candles to provide lighting, while the specific candle holders used under these circumstances vary and are contingent upon the actual religious customs of that party. In addition, a candle holder or pair of candle holders can make beautiful gifts for an anniversary, a newlywed couple or most any other special occasion. The assortment of candle holders being sold today is quite vast, and anybody who is fond of antiques will definitely love being given one of these relics as a gift.
